Website Better or Funnel Better?

This question is what going on in everyone mind when they start an online business.

𝗜𝗻 𝗺𝘆 𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗵 𝘄𝗲𝗯𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗹 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁, 𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝗱𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿.

Let's take a sales funnel as an example.

‎‎‎

Imagine yourself looking for a quick fix solution for dry skin. Where would be the first place you look?


Naturally, you went for the search browser.

After keying in the keywords, the top of your browser feeds will be filled up by all the google ads.


So you click on one and land on their landing pages (the first page of a funnel).


It is very persuasive, and your interest peaked.

Yet, the offer wasn't exactly cheap.

‎‎

So instead of purchasing on the spot (like other buyers), you do your due diligence online before purchasing.

To your surprise, the company behind this funnel doesn't even own a website.

What will you be thinking at that moment? Will you turn back to get that deal? Probably no, right?

In my opinion, sales funnels do convert warmer audiences into customers better. But having a website helps you to establish trust and credibility with the less impulsive buyers.


What's more, you can utilize the website to share helpful content to drive cold audiences (problem aware but solution unaware) to your funnels via the blog post you shared.

That's how I concluded that the ideal combination to run an online business for the long term would be website(s) + funnels.

P/S:

I didn't write this article to encourage the idea that funnels wasn't necessary as long as you have your website.


I wrote this because I believe that there is always more than ONE (1) way to achieve the same ultimate goal.


And there are always different ways to enhance an existing system:)
